Youth

Woody Nook desires that youth be supported into adulthood through relationships that support the family in their faith development. We have several mentor based programs to support youth, grades 5-12.

Safe Church

Woody Nook Church is committed to creating safe places for people to hear the message of Jesus. This includes safe spaces for children, students and vulnerable people. We recognize that we are a reflection of God’s love to those in our care and we take our responsibility to them seriously. We view ourselves as partners with parents and caregivers, seeking to provide quality care and instruction in our ministry to the family. Woody Nook works to ensure we are compliant with our Safe Church Policy. In order to ensure a safe environment, volunteering requires proper vetting and background checks.

CATCH

CATCH (Chasing After the Christian Heart) provides space for youth (grades 7 – 12) to learn what it means to be engaged followers of Christ in the world. Together with their adult leaders, they use scripture, creeds and catechisms to learn discernment in all areas of life, from music and movies, work and play. Games and snacks are just part of the fun. We learn together for 15-18 weeks starting in November and going to April.

GEMS Girls Club

GEMS Girls’ Club is a place for girls to belong and be loved. We welcome girls in grades 5 to 9 into a vibrant community of mentors and peers who genuinely care about them. GEMS is an exciting, safe environment for girls to learn about God, His Word, and His world.

Cadets

With Living for Jesus as their motto, the boys and their counsellors work together on service projects, indoor and outdoor activities, merit badges and Bible studies. Cadets is a club for boys in grades 5-9.

Mission Trips

Being a follower of Christ means serving others, and we encourage youth to server in a variety of ways.
