Scuba: Diving Into Friendship With God
Vacation Bible School is a week-long ministry at Woody Nook that involves both Woody Nookers and people within the greater community. Come and join us for a week of fun, friendship and learning about Jesus as we sing, dance, play, read, explore, experiment, craft, eat and learn! If you were born 2012-2018, please join us as a camper. Invite your friends, neighbors, family, classmates, and teammates. Camper registration will begin late June.
Camp Week: August 12-16, 2024
Campers 9:00am – 12:00pm
Volunteers 8:30am – 12:15pm
Work Bees: May 22, 29, June 5
Join us from 9:30-11:30am for fellowship, coffee, snacks and some fun work to help prepare for VBS.
Decoration Day: August 8, 9:30am until finished
Volunteer Meeting: August 8, 9:00am or 7:30pm

If you were born in 2012 or earlier, please prayerfully consider joining us as a volunteer. There is childcare with programming available for volunteers children born 2019-2024. We are in need of 4-5 nursery attendants per day (Full week or single day options), 18 Crew leaders (lead a group of 7-8 kids from station to station), and 20 Jr leaders (help at station leaders or crew leaders). Come join us for an amazing week!
Crew Leader: Born 2008 or earlier. You are not teachers! You are responsible for your crew of 5-8 kids, moving around within larger groups, from station to station and helping them with their activities. Your main goal for the week is to have fun, share God’s love and be a friend to the kids in your crew.
Jr Leaders: Born 2012 or earlier. Help the station leaders and crew leaders teach and lead as well as help the kids participate in VBS. Please make a note of any friends or stations you would like to be involved with and we will try to accommodate.
Nursery Attendants: Care for volunteer’s children throughout the week. There will be programming available for certain ages organized by the playschool coordinator. There are week long and daily sign up options.
Donations: If you are able, please collect and drop off the following items at church (in the blue bin by the VBS Poster Board in the foyer)
– Silage or greenhouse plastic
– Yarn and ribbon scraps
– 350 Toilet paper rolls
– 75 paper towel rolls
– 50 clear plastic water bottles
– 1- 9×13 aluminum pan
– 5 small fish tanks or clear big canisters
– Cardboard (corrugated)
– Coloured hole-reinforcement stickers
– Googly Eyes
Prayers: We would love your prayers for this program as we ramp up into full prep mode. Specifically, please pray that God will call each volunteer, and that they would respond to His call for this ministry, as we together, dive deeper into friendship with God. As well as, please pray for the kids that will be attending this program, that they may learn about God and His love for them as well as grow deeper in friendship with Him.
